Over the course of the school year we have dealt with several instances where students have used vaporizers (‘vapes’) on school property or within the building. Of particular note, are multiple occasions where vaping has occurred in bathrooms.  Please note that the use of vaporizers is prohibited on school property.  Individuals choosing to engage in their use on property will face suspension.  Vapes of any kind, just like cigarettes or lighters, should not be displayed by students at any time within or on school property.  This policy includes school buses.

A large number of vaporizers have become accessible in recent years.  Some are used to consume nicotine-based products.  However, vaporizers can also be used to consume other products (ex. THC, opiates, etc.).  We encourage parents to discuss the risks associated with using vaporizers with their children.  Please consider reviewing the following resource as a starting point - Vaping and Your Teen:  What Parents Need to Know.
