Student personal information is used by school and Board support staff (e.g., practitioners, consultants) to support student learning, student well-being, and smooth transitions between schools and programs. This information may be used by and shared with appropriate educators and professionals who work together to support students. New to the School? Please note that access to the Parent Portal, SchoolMessenger, School Cash Online, and other parent-facing services is NOT available until a student has attended school and their registration has been fully processed. Families should wait until their child has started attending school before attempting to access or register for these services. The OSTA Parent Portal (School Bus) is a separate system. For questions regarding access, registration, or information within the OSTA Parent Portal, please access OSTA.

The Catholic School Council meets at 7:00 p.m. on the last Monday of the month. Meetings will be held in the Learning Commons, starting at 7:00 p.m..

Helping Your Student Through the Course Selection Process
Course selection presentations being reviewed with students:
Steps to submit your courses on Myblueprint:
1. Go to your myBlueprint account and click on High School.
2. Enter the eight courses and one alternate course that you want to sign up for.
3. Click the "Review Course Selections" button. (Blue button on upper right side of screen).
4. Click the "Submit Course Selections" button. (Green button on upper right side of screen).
Course selections must be completed and submitted in Myblueprint by Friday, February 27.
Board-Wide Parent Organizations
Catholic School Parents’ Association (CSPA)
The Ottawa Catholic School Parents’ Association (CSPA) is a volunteer group representing all OCSB parents. They are a resource for school councils and the parent community for information on local and provincial education issues. Through their website, social media, and email newsletters, they provide updates on education in Ottawa & Ontario, as well as tips, resources and information to help parents support their children in school. All parents are welcome and encouraged to join their e-mail list, follow them on social media @OttawaCSPA, and register to attend their meetings or events via EventBrite.
OCSB Parent Involvement Committee (PIC)
The OCSB Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) is a provincially mandated committee made up of parents, a trustee, the Director of Education, an elementary and high school principal, and other school board staff as required. The purpose of PIC is to support, encourage, and enhance parent engagement at the school board level to improve student achievement and well-being. PIC is a subcommittee of CSPA, and parent members are appointed by CSPA.
Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC)
The OCSB’s Special Education and Advisory Committee (SEAC) makes recommendations to the Board in respect of any matter affecting the establishment, development, and delivery of special education programs and services for exceptional pupils.
